Our programs and sessions are designed with all people in mind.
We use True Life Stories for teaching and learning.
In our Personal and Professional Development Sessions we take everyone’s opinions and knowledge into account. In other words, everyone is a teacher and a student at the same time! We look at a subject’s life story in its entirety and guide participants through questions that assist with determining goals and objectives while using the story for teaching, learning and reclaiming lives.
We publish True Life Stories and use them for LEARNING AND TEACHING and when possible, subjects of our stories participate as co-facilitators and respond to questions from participants as their stories unfold. If subjects are unable to participate, we research and find information about issues raised in their stories or find people who are knowledgeable about these issues. Participants can participate in person or online from anywhere. We make learning fun, cooperative, non-threatening and non-hierarchical. Participants and subjects watch true life stories unfold before their very eyes and have permission to give feedback all in the spirit of learning and teaching!!
OUR CURRENT PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SERIES IS BASED ON A GRANDMOTHER'S STORY AND IT IS TITLED UNPACKING CHILDHOOD TRAUMA IN ABORIGINAL CANADIAN POPULATIONS: LESSONS FROM AN INDIAN RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL SURVIVOR AND GRANDMOTHER. ISSUES COVERED IN THIS STORY AND LESSONS EXTRACTED ARE APPLICABLE AND/OR OF INTEREST TO ALL PEOPLE.
